I’m so disappointed that the blog was down for a few days, causing me to miss the opportunity to highlight an incredible new business that launched this past Sunday. But better late than never!

Introducing The Lit Twist, Phoenix, AZ’s first Black-owned and woman-owned mobile bookstore. Founded by the visionary Petrasher Binfox, The Lit Twist is more than just a bookstore—it’s a movement. Through curated events held across Arizona, Petrasher creates spaces for book lovers to connect, network, and celebrate the joy of reading.

What makes The Lit Twist even more special is its dedication to amplifying Black voices in literature. Every book on its shelves is written by a Black author, offering readers a diverse selection of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and children’s books that reflect the richness of Black storytelling and culture. This initiative not only promotes literacy but also ensures that Black authors receive the recognition they deserve.

I find this initiative truly inspiring, and I still want to give it the shine it deserves here on BLKPHXAZ. This is just the beginning of The Lit Twist’s journey, and I can’t wait to see how it grows and impacts the community.
