Zoni Girls: Rolling In Style, & Confidence.

Just Some Thoughts: Zoni Girls is the Real Deal

Let me just say this — when I first heard about Zoni Girls, I knew I had to check them out.
Black-owned. Women-owned. Skating. Community.
It already sounded like my kind of space.

But actually experiencing it? Man, it’s even better than I imagined.

Zoni Girls was started by three sisters who clearly put their whole heart into this. It’s not just about skating — it’s about feeling good, moving your body, showing up exactly as you are, and finding joy in the simple things.
There’s music bumping, people laughing, families hanging out — it feels like a little pocket of pure Black joy right here in Phoenix. And honestly, we don’t get enough of that.

What I really love is how they make it easy for everybody to feel welcome.
Never skated before? Cool, they’ll help you.
Feeling a little shy? Give it 5 minutes — the vibe will pull you in.
Wanna show off your skills? Go ahead and shine, we see you.

It’s just real community — no fakeness, no pressure, no judgment. Just people rolling, laughing, learning, and having a good time.

We need more spaces like this. Spaces that are ours. Spaces that feel safe, creative, and full of life.
And that’s exactly what Zoni Girls is giving.

If you’re in Phoenix or even just visiting, pull up on them. Go to a pop-up. Take a class. Buy some skates if you feel moved! Whatever you do, just show love — because what they’re building is too good not to support.

Zoni Girls, thank you for creating something this beautiful.
I’m rooting for y’all, and I’m definitely coming back.

🛼💛
