Hey everyone,
I wanted to take a minute to talk about something close to home—where we’re getting our food and how we’re supporting our community. With inflation hitting all of us at the checkout line, and a new bill passed by the Trump administration that could leave thousands of people without SNAP benefits, putting healthy food on the table has gotten harder for many families.
That’s why I’ve been paying close attention to the local farms and growers in our area—especially the Black-owned farms that have been working tirelessly to feed our community. Supporting these farms isn’t just about fresh, organic produce—it’s about investing in our neighbors, keeping dollars in our communities, and making sure we’re all eating well.
Here’s a list of 10 Black-owned farms in the Phoenix area that are doing incredible work:

Choosing to support these farms is one way to stand up for our community, even in the face of rising costs and policy changes that make it harder for families to access healthy food. It’s about making sure everyone has access to fresh, nourishing food—and about lifting each other up along the way.
Let’s keep the conversation going—if you’ve visited these farms, share your experience. And if you’re just getting started, I hope this list inspires you to explore what’s growing right here in Phoenix.
