Okay, so let me just say this: I had no idea Phoenix had such a dope lineup of Black tattoo artists until I went down an Instagram rabbit hole. Like… how come nobody’s talking about them more? You already know how much I love shining a light on Black-owned everything here in the Valley, so of course I had to share.
Because listen—tattoos are personal. They’re art that lives on your skin forever. And finding an artist who gets you, who understands culture, meaning, and detail, makes the ink hit different. So if you’ve been thinking about getting tatted in Phoenix, or just love admiring clean artwork, here are a few Black tattoo artists I found who are really out here doing their thing:
@dakartattooing – Had to start with this one. The artistry is wild—bold designs, cultural depth, and pieces that tell a story.
@sterlingsilver.ink – Super crisp linework, smooth shading, and honestly just beautiful pieces. Definitely a go-to for clean, professional vibes.
@spates.tattoos – The creativity here is next level. Bold, striking tattoos that grab attention without even trying.
@xavierpricetattoo – This page had me double tapping nonstop. The details, the textures, the way the tattoos sit on the skin—chef’s kiss.
@arizonatattoos – I mean, the name says it all. Repping AZ hard with fire designs. If you’re looking for versatility, check them out.
@d.neroo – There’s a certain flow and style in this work that just stands out. You can tell the artistry is personal.
@inkbytre – Clean, bold, and versatile. The kind of tattoos that make you stop scrolling and admire the detail.
@q.inks – Smooth shading, sharp lines, and plenty of personality in the designs. Definitely an artist with their own unique flair.
@wtf.inked – Edgy, bold, and unapologetic. If you’re looking for ink that makes a statement, this page is worth a follow.
@majestique.ink – The precision here is crazy good. Smooth gradients, sharp details, and a polished finish that makes every tattoo look like it belongs in an art gallery.
I don’t know about y’all, but now I’m tempted to get another tattoo… maybe something small, maybe something bold. Either way, knowing there are Black artists here in Phoenix I can support makes the decision even sweeter.
So, if you’ve been searching for a new artist, or just wanted to make sure your next tattoo comes from someone who respects the craft and the culture, these are a few to keep on your radar.
And as always—if you know more Black tattoo artists in Phoenix that I missed, drop them in the comments or DM me. Let’s keep uplifting and sharing!
