The Black Phoenix Organizing Collective (BPOC) will be hosting a community livestream tomorrow, November 19th at 5:00 PM, focused on police accountability and the City of Phoenix’s civilian oversight structures: the Civilian Review Board (CRB) and the Office of Accountability and Transparency (OAT).

These two bodies were created to provide more transparency around police conduct, strengthen community trust, and give residents a more active role in oversight. With ongoing discussions about policing across the Valley, this livestream offers an opportunity for the community to learn more about how these systems work — and where there is still room for improvement.

Why This Conversation Matters

For many residents, especially Black communities, it’s important to understand:
