I fell down a whole rabbit hole of event designers the other night when I was supposed to be minding my business! I don’t even have an event coming up, but suddenly I’m over here planning imaginary birthdays, anniversaries, and “just because” parties.
Phoenix has so many Black-owned creatives who can flip a space like it’s nothing. They’re out here turning backyards into full productions, making kids’ parties look Pinterest-official, and bringing that luxury vibe without doing too much. So of course, I had to share the ones that made me pause mid-scroll like, “Okay, who did this?”
Here are a few Black-owned event designers and rental businesses in the valley that stay booked… and stay delivering.
Party Like a Toddler
If you’ve ever seen a kids’ setup so cute it made you low-key jealous of a three-year-old… it was probably theirs. Bright, playful, and full of personality.

Legends Light AZ
Lighting changes the entire mood, and they know exactly how to level it up. Marquee letters, glowing installations, just that perfect dramatic touch.

Parties For Purpose
Fun with intention. They bring community, creativity, and purpose into every setup, and still keep it visually beautiful.

At the end of the day, Phoenix is really out here becoming a whole creative playground, and these Black-owned event designers are a big reason why. They’re turning simple moments into memories, blank spaces into scenes, and regular days into celebrations worth talking about. If you end up booking any of them, please tag me! I want to hype you up and admire the photos like I was standing right there next to the dessert table.
